ABSTRACT
Having decided to leverage Lean as a way of doing business, where do you begin? This is a question often faced by business leaders. The incorrect approach or advice can mar the deployment of this practice. Table 19.1 summarizes a broad road map for implementing Enterprise Lean in a company. To reach a future state, it could take anywhere from 2 to 5 years. While there are many books on what road map should be followed in manufacturing, this approach comes in handy when the deployment happens in a service enterprise.
