ABSTRACT
Knowing the types of tool steels that will be covered and their main applications in industrial tools would help us understand the metallurgy and properties of those tools. While this topic is treated extensively throughout this book, the present chapter is placed first to show the manufacturing parameters and conditions of tool steels and also to better relate to the tool steel definition seen in Chapter 1, where the production under special conditions is one of the main aspects of tool steel characteristics.
