A Review of Power Series

Power series methods provide a way to solve ordinary differential equations which have coefficients which are not constant. In addition to this, these methods can include situations when the equation is degenerate in the sense that one cannot solve for the highest order derivative of the unknown function because its coefficient vanishes, thus making the earlier methods inapplicable. This chapter gives a review of power series.
