ABSTRACT

Several analytical tools are essential for analyzing project systems. Forecasting and inventory control are two of such tools. Prior to proceeding to the project management phase, a good understanding of the enterprise system, within which the project resides, is indispensable for getting a successful output. Managing complex projects effectively calls for good information, which can be provided by forecasting and inventory control. This chapter presents the basic techniques of forecasting and inventory management as part of the overall quantitative techniques for project planning and control.
