ABSTRACT
This case example emphasizes that using a world systems viewpoint and a project management structure, world economic interdependency can be leveraged to achieve strategic deterrent in pursuit of world peace and harmony. Military and political approaches are often the default approaches to pursuing deterrent. The premise of this case example is that other approaches, such as economic interdependence and collaborative global project execution, can be equally effective. The basic questions of interest are as follows:
1. Do we pursue mutual assured destruction or mutual assured economic advancement?
