ABSTRACT

Internet technologies (IT) and web applications are playing a major role in defining business and have enabled the extension of IT services over large distributed networks. Computer-aided business design and computer-generated applications have reduced the constraints of IT resources to IT's support of the business. IT infrastructure refers to the composite hardware, software, network resources, and services required for the existence, operation, and management of an enterprise IT environment. The information systems infrastructure consists of hardware, software, networks, data facilities, human resources, and services to support decision-making process. Planning the hardware infrastructure also has undergone a paradigm change. Companies often face difficult decisions regarding their hardware. Operating systems and application software and utilities are dominating the information systems environment, and businesses are increasing their dependence on these systems including the business intelligence applications. Organizations choose their backup strategy as per their requirement to be up and about after a crisis.
