ABSTRACT
Ideal switches do not consume power since no current flows in the cut-off mode and no voltage drop takes place in the conduction mode. In the pulse width modulation (PWM), only on and off modes are utilized. By adjusting on-off duties (pulse widths), the average fits into a desired voltage wave form.
