ABSTRACT

The main topics on decision-making under uncertainty are presented, including important theoretical and practical issues. Advanced methods both for assisting the decision-making process and for modelling decision methods in uncertain conditions are addressed, and a comparison analysis is also developed. The comparison of alternatives using multiple criteria is crucial for the proper treatment of large and complex projects, for example, the capacity expansion for a furniture factory. Decision makers are molding real-world decisions through the multiple consideration of their attitudes, behaviors, beliefs, and values, and the appreciation of such decision processes requires advanced methods.
