ROAD CONSTRUCTION TENDER PRICE INDEX
Civil Engineering work generally does not lend itself easily to the preparation of tender price indices in the same way as building work. There is, however, a published tender index for road construction and this is reproduced below with the permission of BIS. The index is intended to indicate the movement in tender prices for road construction contracts. It is based on priced rates contained in accepted tenders for Road Construction, Motorway Widening and Major Maintenance Schemes.
