ABSTRACT

Global Alliance for Projects Performance Standards (GAPPS) offers a broad classification or complexity system. However, for the CAMMP™ model, there is a simplified approach that uses three classes: Small-simple projects; Medium-moderate projects; and Large-complex projects. Small-simple projects-class represents the smallest and simplest projects in an organization in relation to the other categories. Medium-moderate projects-class is for larger, medium-size, and moderately complex projects in comparison to the previous category. Large-complex projects-class would be for the largest and most complex projects within an organization. In some organizations, this may include mega projects, if not listed as an independent category. The foundation for the CAMMP™ classification system is two broad categories: size and complexity. As a project becomes larger and with moderate complexity, the approaches presented for small-simple projects might not be enough and may offer unsatisfactory results.
