ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a good pathway to the road for success and addresses many areas of those associated with the operation of security surveillance centers. The person in charge of the security surveillance center should review every standard operating procedure and is usually the person whose name is placed in the approval section of the procedure. The role of the security surveillance center is to operate and maintain a closed-circuit television (CCTV) security surveillance system within the company guidelines. Security surveillance center personnel should utilize the identify, observe, and understand (IOU) method when utilizing the CCTV system. The security surveillance center uses many tools on a daily basis to maintain the highest standards of integrity. The tools utilized include cameras, monitors, video recorders, computers, e-mail, and the communication network within the security surveillance center. The purpose of the key control system is to ensure adequate accountability for all keys maintained and controlled by the security surveillance center.
