Boundary value problems

Boundary value problems (BVPs) arise when some conditions are imposed on a differential equation at certain spatial points. This topic is an important subject of interest to engineers, as many physical phenomena are described by boundary value problems. Boundary value problems of various second order differential equations are used most often and will be the focus of this chapter.
