ABSTRACT

While executing a program plan, it is imperative to know the status of the program’s progress and exactly what work remains to be completed.

Even if the program team members are putting in the time it takes to complete their work when promised, there can still be unforeseen issues that arise. For example, required materials may not show up on time from a supplier; there may be more than predicted incompatibilities among elements when integrating the product; more than anticipated test failures may occur. How does the Program detect these unanticipated setbacks early and incorporate solutions into the Program Plan?
