ABSTRACT
One of the key successes to any investigation depends on its experimental methodology and reliability of data obtained. In this chapter the experimental setup used to produce nanoparticles and nanocomposites via a sol-gel method, various analytical and spectroscopic characterization techniques and different technological applications are presented in brief. The results must be reproducible and these depend on the experimental procedures and materials employed during the course of study. Well-planned and executed experiments commonly give reproducible and reliable data.
