ABSTRACT

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems [1-4] have been studied extensively in the literature to combat fading in wireless communication systems. By mounting multiple antennas on each communication terminal and by having them placed suf-ciently apart on the device, each user is able to gain access to multiple independent fading paths, which can be exploited to improve communication eciency. With access to the independent fading paths, diversity and multiplexing gains [5] can be achieved
