ABSTRACT

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) control ensures that the EMC design is correctly implemented at every stage in the development and manufacture of equipment. The EMC control plan indicates how EMC will be accomplished for a specific equipment, subsystem, or system. The EMC prediction is typically part of the EMC program plan, however, when this is not a requirement, the prediction should be included in the control plan or as an appendix to it. Primary limitation on the use of computational electromagnetic modeling and Electromagnetic field solvers is the amount of computing resources or the time required to make a full wave simulation. The Electromagnetic interference (EMI) appeared as spurious emissions during transmission, displaced from the carrier by the power supply switching frequency and harmonics thereof. The choices, common in all EMI problem solving, are to incorporate source reduction, reduction in coupling, an increase in receptor immunity, or a combination of these.
