ABSTRACT
Digital data means that the units of information are one of two states, usually referred to as ‘ones’ and ‘zeros’. Analogue informa tion such as the human voice, music or video may be digitally encoded so that it is represented by a stream of ones and zeros. Ulti-
mately it will take an analogue-to-digital converter to turn the digital information back into something we can make sense of.
