Jackson network a class of queueing networks studied by J. R. Jackson in the 1950s that consists of N nodes, where the i th node consists of m i exponential servers each with parameter μ i . Arrivals come to the i th node from outside the system in the form of a Poisson process, and departures from the ith node go to the jth node with routing probability p ij .
