ABSTRACT

It was not until the 1960s and 1970s that we saw the emergence of industrial-grade thermal dispersion mass ow meters that could solve the wide range of general industry’s more ruggedized needs for directly measuring the mass ow rate of air, natural gas, and other gases in pipes and ducts. is chapter describes that class of instruments with emphasis on currently available technology. Future advances in the technology of thermal dispersion mass ow meters are described in Refs. [3,4].
