ABSTRACT
RS485 transmission technology is simple and cost-eªective and primarily used for tasks that require high transmission rates. Shielded, twisted pair copper cable with one conductor pair is used. Details to RS 485 installation are described in [P2112,P8022,P8032]. ¥e bus structure allows addition or
removal of stations or the step-by-step commissioning of the system without in®uencing other stations. Subsequent expansions (within de¦ned limits) have no eªect on stations already in operation.
