In preparing this volume of the Perspectives in Nanotechnology Series, a great number of sources of information were used. When a source was directly used or provided extensive material background for a specic topic, it is listed in the Endnotes section of the chapter in which it was used. Many more, however, were used as general background, and others contain potentially useful information for the nanotechnology entrepreneur.
