ABSTRACT
Polyphase induction machines are generally classified on the basis of construction of their rotors. These rotors may be of laminated or unlaminated forms. The squirrel cage and slip-ring type induction machines belong to the laminated form, while solid rotor induction machines and drag cup type induction machines belong to the unlaminated form.
