ABSTRACT

In the 1970, besides intensifying investigation on the modeling, adaptive control, etc., people began to break the traditional ideas on the control, and tried to develop a new control algorithm having lower requirement on the model, involving convenient on-line computation and possessing better control performance. The development of the computer techniques also provides hardware and software for implementing the predictive control algorithm. Under this situation, model algorithmic control (MAC) and called as a model predictive heuristic algorithm (MPHC), which is a kind of predictive control. MPC (Model predictive control) is based on optimization and is effective for handling constraints and time-delay. MPHC can be implemented in two different manners: one is the direct digital control (DDC) and the other is the transparent control. The real applications of MPC has 4 hierarchical levels: (level 0, level 1, level 2, level 3). Therefore, it is very difficult, and not likely to be effective for real applications, to analyze stability of MPHC theoretically.
