ABSTRACT

The target system will consist of a set of monitoring buoys cooperating together. Each buoy collects in-situ acoustic and environmental data and sends them to a central system located on shore. The central system hosts the tools to manage and configure the buoys, to analyse environmental impact, and to provide the services for offshore management activities. Tools include numerical simulation to acoustic impact prediction and forecasting. For now, the prototype includes one buoy and the central system. The monitoring system in the buoy is designed to be highly modular, in order to easy the integration of new sensors. Different wireless communication technologies can be selected.
