ABSTRACT
Once the membranes are ready, then it is important to analyse that whether the prepared membranes are exact or not according to the preparation procedure. This chapter discuss about the procedures and techniques to assess the desired qualities of the prepared membranes in detail. The membranes are analysed by using various morphological and permeation techniques explained, which are explained systematically in this chapter. These techniques confirms the success or failure of the preparation techniques and that is why they are very important. These techniques are also used for the examination of various membrane materials, preparation procedures and conditions regarding their role and effect on the prepared membranes. Therefore, it is very much important to have an understanding of various characterization techniques and this chapter provides all that in a systematic way.
