ABSTRACT
This journey began in the early 1970s with a bizarre slip in my Leicestershire kitchen and has concluded in health care institutions and the law courts. En route I have worked in a wide variety of hazardous domains-aviation, nuclear power installations, chemical process plants, railways, the maritime world, oil and gas production, banks, road transport, mining, dams, air traffic control and a few others.
