ABSTRACT
As has been stated in previous chapters, differential equations have many applications in engineering and science. For example, first-order differential equations model phenomena of cooling, population growth, radioactive decay, mixture of salt solutions, series circuits, survivability with AIDS, draining a tank, economics and finance, drug distribution, pursuit problem and harvesting of renewable natural resources. This chapter explains how to solve another specific type of equation, the linear first-order differential equation.
