ABSTRACT
The Chapter describes the process and steps involved in pelletization. The specifications of typical pelletizing plants in terms of their capacities, induration techniques, and types of products formed are also mentioned. The emission of solid and gaseous pollutants and their control, energy conservation in the pelletizing process, and the means to achieve these are important techniques that are outlined. The Chapter provides a brief note on the research carried out aimed at the development of composite pellets with organic and inorganic binders through the cold-bonding approach.
