ABSTRACT
Stormwater (surface runoff) is the second major urban flow of concern to the drainage engineer. Safe and efficient drainage of stormwater is particularly important to maintain public health and safety (due to the potential impact of flooding on life and property) and to protect the receiving water environment. Reliable data on the quantity and quality of existing and projected stormwater flows is a prerequisite for cost-effective urban drainage design and analysis.
