ABSTRACT

Quality is embedded within civil engineering projects by explicit contractual compliance requirements, set out and described in the complete design drawings and specifications that detail all elemental material supply, installation and compliance tests. Cost and time values are similarly stated (and broken down) in unambiguous explicit terms in the project’s contractual documentation. Parties have a responsibility and an obligation to conform to all stated quality, cost and time parameters as set out in four key contract documents that bring civil engineering projects to fruition.
