ABSTRACT

Generally, a client’s key indicators of brief realisation might be deemed to include

• Drawings and calculations incorporating materials specifications for supply and installation (made explicit in AS4000 clause 8.2, item 15, and clause 8.2)

• Method and timeline and related work-task sequence and a critical path of activities (made explicit in AS4000 clause 32)

• Priced bills of quantities (structured with the civil engineering standard method of measurement CESMM, 3rd or 4th edition)

• Risk analysis, safety concerns, project constraints, supply and installation and testing of all elements and components within a quality management system (expressly requested in AS4000 clause 29) and

• Tender-offer expectations (framed with AS2125 Tender form offer, and AS4000 page 41, annexure A, B and C, where such appendices are completed and issued as part of a tender document and incorporated into the contract).
