ABSTRACT
The accurate reproduction of a recognizable image on some medium is a primary requirement for radiographic NDE. Typically, this image is obtained al the recording plane using film, visual display systems or digitized systems. Since the basic principles of obtaining a satisfactory image are somewhat similar for all processes, the primary emphasis at this point will continue to be on film images. Some discussion at the end of the chapter will describe some fundamental advantages of the other techniques.
