ABSTRACT
Most of the preceding material has described waves propagating in a bulk material where the travel path was unaffected except for an encounter with a reflection boundary. In this section, special wave forms will be described. The path of travel and, in some cases, the speed, are affected by the surfaces encountered in plates, bars, and rods.
