ABSTRACT

In Chapters 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3, we considered a variety of different models for normally distributed data: one sample, two samples, k samples, and linear regression. Although the models are different, a difference that is further emphasized by the different scientific questions that the models are used to answer, from a mathematical point of view they are merely examples of the linear normal model. This is the reason why the calculations in statistical packages can be handled by the same procedure. In SAS this procedure is PROC GLM.
