(a) A body at temperature T loses heat to surroundings at temperature T0 at a net rate σ(T4-T40) per unit area per unit time. Take T=310K (corresponding to body temperature of 37 C) and T0 = 288K. To obtain the total surface area A we approximate the body by a cylinder of 1m circumference and height 1.75m.
