ABSTRACT
A fairground rotor consists of a cylindrical room which can be spun about its axis of symmetry. Intrepid members of the public are invited to stand inside the room with their backs touching the wall and their feet on the floor whilst the room is spun up. When the room has reached a certain angular velocity the floor is lowered and the people inside find themselves stuck to the wall.
