The construction method planning process At this point it is possible to examine in more detail the way in which construction method planning needs to be carried out. To be successful, it has to be recognized that those who do the planning need to be well versed in construction technology, be knowledgeable in relation to plant availabilities and performance, the interrelation with labour and with a wide experience of factors which will affect the requirements and performance needed. This knowledge can be described as 'factors affecting construction method assessment'. This basic data and knowledge has then to be used in specific real life situations to determine methods, sequence of construction and time
