ABSTRACT
The previous chapters have been concerned with the measurement of different hydrological variables. This chapter is concerned with the next stage in the preparation and analysis of information on rainfall and snowfall. It is assumed that the data for computation have been produced by standard observation methods and have been subjected to basic quality assurance checks (see Chapter 3 and World Meteorological Organization, 2008).
