ABSTRACT

In th is chapter we i ntroduce the use of the complete electromagnetic fields. fol lowing our earl ier work us ing only the stat ic fields. Now we have two (and somet imes three) components of E, B, and J, as wel l as the scalar p ; we might also use the vector and scalar potent ials A , 1> along wi th E and B . There i s much greater variety o f collect i ve in teract ion , both phys ical and , occas ional ly , nonphysical . Electromagnet ic programs are more compl icated than electrostat i c programs, and generally tougher to use and more expen s ive .
