ABSTRACT
Let us play a game with five parts. In each part you will choose a single number to represent the set of seven numbers. You will get an initial sum of 170 points, and in each part you will use a different rule to calculate the disparity between the set’s values and your suggested value. This disparity is your fine, and you will deduct it from your total score. For each case, write the representative value that you suggest (give a number) and calculate your fine. The number of points left over at the end will be your score for the game. Try to maximize it.
