ABSTRACT
Because a water laboratory is instrumental, it is important to understand some of the working mechanisms and principles upon which the instruments were developed and operate. No instrument functions perfectly forever. Proper maintenance, replace ment of necessary components, and troubleshooting of some of the more obvious problems that occur are the chemist’s responsibilities.
