ABSTRACT
Information on mathematical statistics as a tool used in the treatment of measurement results is provided. The most popular distributions of random variables are described. The characteristics of statistical parameters, including measures of location, statistical dispersion, asymmetry, and concentration accompanied with equations used for their calculations, have been presented.
An algorithm of the most commonly used statistical tests and presentations of the measurement results are described, too.
