ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about how the process changes depending on whether Creative Directors' working in an agile or waterfall environment. As a digital creative director, it's Creative Directors' job to manage this process from start to finish. When Creative Directors' designing a content-heavy site, it's really easy to make a site's navigation scheme overly complex—a nest of categories, subcategories, and sub-sub categories that may have a clear sense of hierarchy, but will be a nightmare for a user to navigate. However, just because a project calls for designing multiple initial concepts, don't feel like Creative Directors have to assign a unique designer for each one. Once the team has completed sketches, select a few of the strongest sketch concepts and have each designer create high-fidelity presentation-ready design comps based on the concept they sketched.
