ABSTRACT

At an Executive Committee meeting on 12 June 1940, it was announced that the Chairman (Paterson), who had served the FM since its inception in 1919, had died (on 31 May 1940), and at the following meeting (10 July 1941) it was reported that the Business Manager of the PMJ - John Leggitt - had been killed 'in a flying accident'. Leggitt was succeeded by Mr RH Blythe; in his absence on active service, his work was continued by his wife. It was, however, the intention of Fletcher (the Honorary Editor) to maintain monthly publications of the PM/.3
