Effects of Energy Production and Consumption on Air Pollution and Global Warming

The gases included in GHG inventories are the direct GHGs: namely, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6), and the indirect GHGs: non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx), and sulphur dioxide (SO2) [2] .
