ABSTRACT
In order to determine representation of point group of a particular environment (like Oh, Td), we use wave function as basis. Firstly, the elements of the matrix were determined and then the sum of diagonal elements of matrix gives χ (α). Character of each symmetry operation can be known with help of this formula. Character of these symmetry operations will then be character of representation of that particular environment.
