ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we look at some ways that probability theory is used to give insight into the problem of resolution. Not surprisingly, there are a large number of methods and all we aim to do here is to give some idea of the variety of the methods. We assume the reader is familiar with probability spaces and random variables. For those who are less familiar, the basics are contained in Appendix D.
