ABSTRACT
The signicance of grounding for electric power equipment and systems such as transformers, substations, buildings, home appliances, etc., is wellknown, and a number of books and papers have been published on the subject [1-30]. Grounding is done for the following reasons:
1. To maintain the ground terminal voltage at zero which is, strictly speaking, soil potential.
