ABSTRACT

Abstract Healthcare transformation will need innovation and continuous integration planning that aligns with legislative and policy changes. Healthcare has been stuck and the fee-for-service models and the government shadow of Medicare and Medicaid pricing structure have held back the innovation level of healthcare. As new Health IT models focus on patient-consumer-information centric technologies and use new standards, the key is to foster innovation and share those success stories in an open transparent manner. Innovation from State Innovation Models and Medicaid Reform seems to be migrating across state boundaries while new “stories from the ground” have to be created. Collecting good news and success stories and getting them to be leverage will take a new innovation incubation process. It will take new innovative business processes and use of “fast smart ready technology.”
