ABSTRACT
In the first chapter we have considered the basic concepts which underlie the measurement of physical quantities, and of temperature in particular. We now direct our attention specifically to the field of radiation thermometry, the estimation of the temperature of an object from the characteristics of the thermal radiation which it emits.
